Meet The Team
Doug Glennon
Board Chair
At Communitively I like to focus on governance, building out the digital eco-system, and starting up our 3v3 basketball tournament.
Doug Glennon is a lifelong New Hampshire resident, entrepreneur, and community advocate who is deeply committed to supporting the growth and vitality of Dover. As co-owner of Jewelry Creations, a family-owned independent jewelry store in downtown Dover, Doug works alongside his wife Kelly to continue the store’s long-standing tradition of customer service, craftsmanship, and community involvement. Since purchasing the business in 2017, Doug has helped modernize and grow the company while maintaining its strong local roots and commitment to personalized service.
In addition to his work in retail, Doug has spent much of his professional career in technology and software development. He is the owner of Glennon Consulting, LLC, a technology consulting firm specializing in web development, content management systems, and custom software solutions. With a background in computer science and a passion for creative problem-solving, Doug has worked with organizations ranging from small local businesses to large national and international companies.
Doug has long been involved in civic leadership and nonprofit service throughout the Seacoast region. Over the years, he has served as both a Board Member and Board Chair of the Dover Children’s Home, as well as a Board Member and Board Chair of the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce, and Chair of the City of Dover’s Vision Chapter Master Plan Committee. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Dover Planning Board, helping guide long-term planning and community development initiatives for the city.
As Board Chair of Communitively, Doug works alongside fellow volunteers, business owners, and community leaders to strengthen Dover through beautification projects, local business support, events, and collaborative initiatives. Through programs like Discover Dover NH, Light Up Dover, shop-local campaigns, and mentorship opportunities, he is passionate about creating a more vibrant, connected, and welcoming community for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.
Outside of work and community projects, Doug enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, exploring New Hampshire’s outdoors, and finding new ways to combine creativity, technology, and community engagement to make a positive local impact.
I love a good challenge, and bringing people together for meaningful local experiences is a challenge that I really enjoy.follow me
